Red Bull junior Pepe Marti is seemingly on course to continue his career in Formula E, attracting interest from a team in the series. Whether the Red Bull driver makes the switch will become clear next week.
Kiro Race has Marti on its radar for the final seat that is still available on the grid for the 2025–2026 season. Upon request, the British team confirmed to GPblog that its driver for the next campaign will be announced next week, without elaborating further on the Spaniard's name.
GPblog has learned that Marti remains a member of the Red Bull Junior Team for the time being.
The Austrians will announce early next year which drivers will be part of their training programme in 2026.
If Martí does make the switch to Formula E, it is likely that he will leave the Red Bull Junior Team in 2026. Although the main goal of the programme is to develop drivers for F1, it is still considered a success if Marti has a professional career in motorsport.
According to Red Bull, there are many paths to success and over the years, several Red Bull juniors have participated in other series, such as DTM, NASCAR, and Formula E. If Marti does indeed get the last seat in Formula E, Red Bull has once again succeeded in promoting a young talent.
For Marti, making the move to Formula E would also be logical. Although he always hoped to reach Formula 1, the Spaniard was unable to convince enough in the feeder series to get a foot in the door, and was never an option for either Red Bull Racing or Racing Bulls.
