Lewis Hamilton's Hungarian Grand Prix, normally a bastion for the 7-time world champion, could not have gone worse in 2025, after Saturday's qualifying debacle, a poor result in the race followed with an incident with Max Verstappen.

In the end Hamilton could not improve on his qualifying P12 result, finishing the Hungarian Grand Prix in that same position. Speaking to Sky Sports the 7-time world champion appeared downbeat after the race.

When asked about his comments following his tough qualifying session where he branded himself as 'useless', and called for Ferrari to 'swap drivers', the Briton hinted at there being something more behind closed doors at Ferrari.

"Not particularly," he said regarding whether or not he could she more light on his post-qualifying remarks.

"When you have a feeling you have a feeling. There's a lot going on in the background that's not great."

When asked if he had lost his love of racing due to the difficulties he's faced recently, the Briton was categorical in his reply. "No, I still love it."

Incident with Max Verstappen at Hungary

On lap 30 he and fellow world champion Max Verstappen were in a battle for P12, when the Dutchman made a daring overtake attempt at Turn 4, the fast left-hander. This prompted Hamilton to go off track which resulted in the Stewards investigating the incident.

When asked about the move from Verstappen and the subsequent investigation, Hamilton simply responded: "I don't really remember it to be honest."
