There is plenty to discuss after the Hungarian Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc saw a potential victory slip through his fingers, McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris engaged in a fierce battle, and Max Verstappen was called to the stewards over an incident with Lewis Hamilton. Fans worldwide have shared their opinions on social media.

Internet uproar over Verstappen and Hamilton's investigation

Many internet users react indignantly to the investigation into the incident between Verstappen and Hamilton. While one thinks that a new rule will now be invented to punish Verstappen, another suggests that Hamilton should have drunk a can of Red Bull. There is also widespread reaction to a post from Red Bull, which - if real - is no longer online. It stated that Verstappen startled Hamilton, causing him to go off track.

Around lap 30, Verstappen made a daring overtaking manoeuvre on Hamilton on the outside of turn 4. Hamilton went wide and ended up off track, possibly avoiding a potential collision. The incident was noted and later officially taken under investigation by the stewards. They have now ruled that Verstappen was not at fault for the incident.

Verstappen stated after the race that he does not understand the stewards' investigation. Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko agreed: in response to a question from GPblog, he said he did not understand why an investigation had been set up.

However, some fans were also on Hamilton's side.

Many fans also liked seeing them up against each other.
