After starting from P12 on the grid, Lewis Hamilton crossed the finish line in the same position. Yesterday, the seven-time world champion was downbeat, saying "I'm useless" as well. Charles Leclerc also reacted to his teammate's statements.
After yesterday's qualifying session, talking to Sky Sports, the British driver said: "It's me every time. I'm useless, absolutely useless. The team have no problem. You've seen the car's on pole. So we probably need to change driver."
After the Hungarian Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc was asked about his teammate's comments.
"At the end we are one team and as much as I want to finish in front of Lewis, I want both of us to be successful and Ferrari to be successful, and obviously this weekend has been a tough one for Lewis," the Monegasque driver began to GPblog among others.
He continued: "But I have no doubt that it's a one-off and I'm sure the second part of the season will be a lot more positive."
Leclerc himself finished in P4, after starting from pole position a day ago. The Ferrari driver also reflected on his radio message, explaining "the issue was an outlier".
