Adrian Newey has made his first trackside appearance for Aston Martin at the Monaco Grand Prix, his former boss, Red Bull Racing's CEO and team principal Christian Horner has commented on the strange sight.
For Newey it is the first time he's ever been trackside in Aston Martin colours. Depute Technical Officer and team principal for the British racing green coloured team have praised the famed designer for his voluminous skill set, with a car's configuration being one of them.
Though Newey has been charged with improving the AMR25, his main focus remains the 2026 car. As Cowell stated to GPblog and others the team is also introducing 2026 technologies in its current car, so it makes all the more sense that Aston Martin's recently premiered signing is at the track.

Newey looks 'like a giant Bogey!', says Horner

However, for Red Bull's team principal Horner, the sight of Newey donning on Aston Martin's uniform still results a tad strange, he explains to Sky Sports.
"He looks like a giant bogey!," was ever the witty Horner's quip to his former colleague's presence at the paddock. "It's odd seeing him in green," then added the Briton sincerely.
"We'll catch up with him later, it's good to see him here."
