Max Verstappen has once again proven why he is considered by many as one of the best Formula 1 drivers ever. He's in fantastic form, but he emphasises that he cannot constantly expect that of himself.
Verstappen and Red Bull started the 2025 Formula 1 season with a significant disadvantage against McLaren. Although the RB21 often did not do what Verstappen wanted, the Dutchman managed to maximise his results. It appears Red Bull is slowly finding its way back, but the upcoming races will still have to show what the team really stands for.
When asked if he feels he's at the peak of his career, Verstappen told the press in Monaco: "Yes, I mean, things are going well." However, the Dutchman stressed that you can't always expect to be at your best. "This is something I think you can't consistently ask of yourself."

Verstappen Still Learning

"You want to try to improve," emphasized the four-time World Formula 1 Champion. "Some weekends are better than others, but overall, I'm happy." He did, however, add a caveat.
"You can't be completely satisfied. You're always analyzing everything you can do better - even during the positive weekends, but of course also during the negative ones. I'm convinced that you never stop learning in Formula 1."
