Lando Norris won the 21st round of the season, the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, in dominant fashion. However, as in Mexico, the McLaren driver was treated to a hostile reaction by fans present at the track.
As fellow podium finishing drivers Andrea Kimi Antonelli (P2) and Max Verstappen (P3) were called out onto the podium, the crowd cheered and applauded.
When it came Norris' turn to take up the top step, the crowd jeered instead.
It marks the second consecutive race weekend the McLaren driver has been met with booing on a podium, following the awkward scene experienced during the parc fermé interviews and the podium celebrations at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
After dominating in Brazil Norris now boasts a 24 points lead over title rival Oscar Piastri and 49 points ahead of Max Verstappen, giving him a healthy lead as the championship heads into the final three races of the season, where the champion will be determined.
