Two marshals were spotted running across the track at the Mexico GP and were narrowly missed by Liam Lawson.

An onboard camera from Lawson's car showed the Racing Bulls driver take avoiding action as the marshals ran across the track at turn 1.

The incident took place as a yellow flag was briefly waved at turn 1 of the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit.

Lawson reacted on the radio: "Oh my God are you kidding me. Did you see that?"

His race engineer praised the driver from New Zealand for successfully avoiding the marshals.

Lawson made contact with Alex Albon on lap 1 of the Mexico GP, leaving him with front wing damage.

The Racing Bulls driver pitted and fell to the back of the grid before retiring the car a few laps later.

Nico Hulkenberg and Fernando Alonso are the only other driver to retire from the race as of lap 50.
