The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix was Lewis Hamilton's first Ferrari home race, and for the British world champion it was evocative of a deep connection with fellow seven-time world champion and Ferrari legend Michael Schumacher.
For Hamilton the rece weekend in Italy, where he came home P4 after having started P12, was something he was mesmerised by and of which he wanted to capture the most special moments.

Hamilton honoured by Ferrari-ignited connection with Michael Schumacher

For the Briton the Tifosi's passion kindled a special connection with fellow seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher.
"It's been pretty nuts. What an amazing experience. Already on the drivers parade lap, all the drivers were all doing their normal talking, but I really wanted to see what... I even took a picture of where there's a memorial event."
"But just taking pictures or a film of the crowd, just a sea of red everywhere. It was pretty reminiscent of when I was growing up sitting at home on the couch watching Michael Schumacher here racing with Ferrari and seeing the connection that we've had."
"It's quite an incredible experience to think that I'm now here in one of the two Ferraris. Having that connection with him it's such an honor. It's unbelievable."

Tifosi passion, like the connection the British fans have with Hamilton at Silverstone

The Hamilton stronghold of the calendar is undoubtedly Silverstone. Although the intensity of the fans at the British Grand Prix and the races in Italy may be similar, Hamilton notes a telling difference.
"Yeah, it's definitely like that. Silverstone, it's like a connection more so with me and the Brit, which is super special and I love it. This one is like, you can just see how passionate people are for Ferrari."
"I guess it doesn't matter who's in it, they just love to see the red car. It's amazing to see. It's really cool."
