Two drivers have broken Parc Ferme rules after qualifying at the Italian Grand Prix, with a penalty and a pit lane start likely for both Isack Hadjar and Pierre Gasly.
Both drivers were unable to find their way out of Q1 on Saturday around Monza, with Hadjar only able to finish P16 around the 'Temple of Speed', while Gasly and Alpine were only able to finish 19th, only in front of Hadjar's teammate, Liam Lawson.
It comes after Alpine already announced that changes would be made to Gasly's car before the 16th race of the 2025 season, with the French team stating: "Pierre will start today's Italian Grand Prix from the Pit Lane after the team took his car out from parc fermé conditions. Car #10 will take a new Power Unit for today's Race."
Now, it has been officially confirmed by FIA Formula One Technical Delegate Jo Bauer that both Gasly and Hadjar have had their cars taken out of Parc Ferme conditions.
A new internal combustion engine, turbocharger, motor generator unit-heat, motor generator unit-kinetic and a new exhaust system have all been replaced for both drivers. Along with that, Hadjar's Racing Bulls machine will also have a new energy store and control electronics fitted.
"Car numbers 10 and 06 should now be required to start the race from the pit lane according to Article 40.9 a) of the 2025 Formula One Sporting Regulations. I am referring this matter to the stewards for their consideration," stated Bauer.
The full report from Bauer can be read below, which also states that both Hadjar and Gasly have now gone over the number of engine parts allocated for the 2025 season.
