How the Brazil Sprint qualifying unfolded

The first part of Sprint Qualifying saw Yuki Tsunoda fail to clear the bar as he could only manage 18th place for Red Bull. He also went slower than Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson, who will start the Sprint in 17th place.

Carlos Sainz finished 20th in the first part of Sprint Qualifying, just behind Haas driver Esteban Ocon. Franco Colapinto, who recently penned a new deal with Alpine for 2026, was also eliminated in SQ1 after clocking a time only good enough for 16th.

Piastri, however, set the pace in the first part of Sprint Qualifying with a 1:10.2, while his McLaren teammate Norris went second fastest.
