Red Bull junior driver Pepe Martí is in his second season in Formula 2, driving for Campos Racing as Arvid Lindblad's teammate, after having to go head-to-head against Isack Hadjar the previous year. The Spaniard is ready to turn things around this campaign in the series below F1. Entering Martí's debut campaign in the competition last season, the Frenchman, who has been very consistent so far in the 2025 F1 season, was driving alongside him. "Isack was in his second season, so he had a lot of experience in different situations, on what to do, and what not to do. So I learned a lot from him in that sense," he told GPblog at the MadRing roadshow.
About Lindblad,
who just won his first Feature Race in Barcelona, Martí said:
"He's a very fast guy. I think he proved that in the Barcelona qualifying. He did a great job in the end Barcelona race. You just have to control the situation, and he did a good job of that. To be honest, he's a good driver. He's a very good driver."The Spaniard is also confident he will be able to outperform the youngster whom top advisor Helmut Marko called the Austrian's biggest talent. "But obviously, I think I wouldn't be here if I didn't think I could beat him. I think we're working in the right way as a team, especially on my side of the garage. I think we’re doing the right job, and it will come to us."

Martí eager to turn things around this season
Martí is currently seventh in the standings in F2, 38 points behind championship leader Alexander Dunne, and he won the Sprint Race at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Asked about whether he received any grades or comments from top advisor Marko, he said about his season: "I don't think seventh is a great position if I'm honest, and I think everybody would agree [with] that. So obviously, for the time being, no. It's not my focus at the moment. I think right now I have to focus a bit more on myself, and what's going right, what's going wrong, what am I doing correctly, what am I doing wrong."
He continued: "I think now there's a large possibility that I can turn around that, those comments in the second half of the season. In the end, I'm the guy that knows myself the most, and I know that I can do a really good job, so I'm hoping on that."
