Weather update for the F1 Italian Grand Prix: What the sky will do at Monza

The italian Grand Prix marks the 16th round of the Formula One World Championship and it is looking likely to be a spectacular racing weekend full of action. But what will the weather do at the Temple of Speed?

After experiencing wonderful conditions for racing throughout the Friday little is expected to change for Saturday.

During the morning and final practice session, FP3, air temperatures are expected to rise from 26°C to 27°C, with the tarmac surface heating up from 40°C to 43°C, allowing drivers to push the Pirelli compound tyres comfortably.

A light southeasterly wind is forecasted with estimations setting its speed window at 0-10kph. Humidity is expected to drop from 40% to 35%.

In the afternoon for the qualifying session due to start at 16:00, air temperatures are forecasted to remain at 27°C, with the wind mimicking its morning form, and the humidity levels rising back up from 35% to 40%. The tarmac temperature is expected to drop one degree from 44°C down to 43°C. A sunny forecast with a few high thin clouds throughout the afternoon prevails at Monza.

For the race, which is due to start a 15:00 local CEST time, air temperatures will mimick those of Saturday afternoon, remaining at 27°C. The tarmac temperatures are expected to be of a high 45°C and low 42°C, with southwesterly winds blowing at the same 0-10kph window. Both days of racing action have 0% chance of rain.
