Hamilton in need of a new race engineer

Lewis Hamilton finds himself without a race engineer after the Scuderia Ferrari outfit announced it had replaced Riccardo Adami ahead of the upcoming season.

Adami, who served as race engineer for the seven-time world champion through his debut campaign, has been moved to a new role within the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy as Driver Academy and Test Previous Cars Manager, where his extensive trackside experience and Formula 1 expertise contribute to the development of future talent and to strengthening performance culture across the programme.

This development leaves Hamilton in need of a new race engineer. However, GPblog can confirm that despite the British driver liking the idea of having his Mercedes engineer, Peter Bonnington, at Maranello, such a move will not occur, with the British engineer focused on his current role at the Brackley-based outfit.

Cadillac completes maiden shakedown

The Cadillac F1 outfit also offered a glimpse into its Formula 1 car, sharing footage from its recent shakedown. The American outfit took to the Silverstone circuit to complete mileage with reserve driver Zhou Guanyu.

The Chinese driver, who recently penned a deal with the Cadillac team following his exit from Ferrari, also detailed key learnings from his outing. Cadillac's shakedown comes days after the Audi team hit the circuit for a shakedown in Barcelona.
