Several F1 drivers under investigation: Heartbreak threat for Antonelli and Piastri?

Lando Norris' crash into teammate Oscar Piastri brought out a safety car which saw several incidents take place. Max Verstappen and George Russell, for instance, complained about each other's driving, the first accusing the latter of erratic driving, whilst the Briton complained that Verstappen had overtaken him under safety car conditions.

However, that was not the only incident that was reported, as race control has issued a message stating that several drivers are currently noted for potential safety car infringements.

"INCIDENT INVOLVING CARS 12 (ANT), 81 (PIA), 31 (OCO), 16 (LEC), 55 (SAI), 10 (GAS) AND 18 (STR) NOTED - SAFETY CAR INFRINGEMENT," the statement read.

So Antonelli, Oscar Piastri, Esteban Ocon, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly and Lance Stroll have all been noted. Should this result in a penalty for Piastri, then Verstappen could make even more headway in the championship standings.
