Lando Norris' Canadian Grand Prix weekend has not been one for the books. After qualifying P7, half a second behind teammate Oscar Piastri, the British driver collided into fellow McLaren driver bringing his race to an end. Now the Stewards have announced he's under investigation.
As the Canadian GP came to its final moments, Norris and Piastri were locked in a fierce battle for P4, with both exchanging positions briefly at the end of lap 66.
As they both headed down the main straight, Piastri took the inside line to defend from Norris, who tried to go deeper up the inside, biting the grass, losing control of his MCL39 colliding into the back of his teammate, and losing his front wing in the process.
It was at this moment that Norris became just a passenger as he was unable to steer his way clear of the wall. The collision ultimately resulted in Norris's DNF.
