George Russell didn’t waste any time gatecrashing into Brad Pitt’s interview on the red carpet at the premiere of ‘F1,’ the upcoming Formula 1-themed film. The release of ‘F1,’ the new Formula 1-themed film directed by Top Gun: Maverick duo Jerry Bruckheimer and Joseph Kosinski, is just around the corner, with the film set to hit theaters on June 27, just ten days away.
In the meantime, Formula 1 pulled out all the stops, hosting a spectacular premiere in New York to showcase the film, where both actors and
F1 drivers
(except Max Verstappen) made their appearance on the red carpet.
Brad Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver from the 1990s who returns to the championship to race for the APXGP team and mentor rising talent Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris.
The American actor naturally took part in red carpet interviews, but George Russell didn’t waste any time jumping in. Pitt warmly embraced the Mercedes driver, congratulating him on his brilliant victory last Sunday in Canada.
The Brit then joked about their outfits, pointing out that the two were wearing almost identical suits.
